Every April 23, we mark World Book Day — a day to celebrate reading, writers, and the joy of books. In our DKU community, reading is never a holiday-only event. It happens with every daily borrowing from our library and every monthly sharing in our “One Month One Book” activity.

DKU Library worked with students and researchers on the exhibition “A Mirror to the Sky: Understanding and Preventing Bird Collision,” an initiative about how spaces can bring together research, student creativity and citizen science.

During the 2026 mini‑term, DKU librarians played a prominent role in co-teaching courses, supporting faculty, and guiding student research.

On January 23, Duke Kunshan University (DKU) Library launched the 2026 “Reading the World” series with a session on Brazil, featuring Daniel Monteiro, Class of 2028.

On December 6, 2025, DKU Library, collaborated with the ERC and the Division of Social Sciences, hosted an Author Talk featuring Melissa and Chris Bruntlett, co-authors of Women Changing Cities, discussing urban transformation as part of the DKU Library Author Talk Series.
