Duke and DKU Libraries provide access to over one million eBooks that can be used for study, research or leisure. This workshop will go through different eBook databases and guide you to use them more effectively.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Search for eBooks in the Library catalog;
  • Learn tips for using different academic eBook platforms, including ProQuest eBook Central, EBSCO eBooks and University Press Scholarship Online;
  • Use HathiTrust, which stores millions of digitized titles from libraries around the world;
  • Access OverDrive, where you can check out eBooks and audiobooks to your own computer, phone or tablet; and
  • Explore Chinese-language eBooks through Duxiu (读秀) and CADAL (大学数字图书馆国际合作计划)
