Workshop | Five Tools and Techniques for Data Cleaning

Finding or building a dataset is just the first step toward data analysis and visualization. Once you have your data, it can be time-consuming to format, clean, and restructure your data to use it in your preferred analysis and visualization programs. In this workshop for beginner and intermediate users, we will look at some common data cleaning problems, some conventional and creative solutions, and finally explore OpenRefine, a free, open source tool for working with messy data.
