Theme: New Horizons, Unwavering Mission

We are delighted to announce the Call for Proposals for the 2023 Sino-foreign Joint Venture University Library Annual Conference. This is the 9th conference since 2014. This conference will bring together library professionals from Sino-foreign joint venture universities in China to explore the latest trends, innovations, and challenges in the dynamic landscape of libraries. The conference will be hosted by Duke Kunshan University in Kunshan, Jiangsu, from November 2-4, 2023.

We invite library colleagues to submit proposals for presentation and poster sessions to share your best practices and insights, with a special encouragement for young library staff to contribute. The conference theme, “New Horizons, Unwavering Mission,” highlights the adaptations that libraries make to embrace an evolving world while staying true and steadfast in fulfilling their core mission.

Topics for proposals include, but are not limited to:

  1. Challenges and opportunities in academic library space design and planning
  2. Innovative approaches to information and data literacy
  3. Best practices in research, teaching, and learning support
  4. Scholarly communication and Open Science
  5. Library outreach and community engagement
  6. New models of collection development
  7. The role of academic librarians in the age of AI
  8. Promising Technology Solutions in academic library services

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Presentations or posters proposals must be submitted through the link before 11:59 pm (CST) September 10th with an abstract of up to 300 words.
  2. If you have more than one submission, please submit each one separately via the link.
  3. Proposals must clearly indicate the chosen topic.
  4. Accepted presenters or posters will be notified by September 28th.
