Explore the CD: Dr. Amici’s own introduction:
“The pieces featured in this album showcase the most significant part of what I have written for piano between 2017 and 2024. A common thread among all the compositions on the CD is their structure: they consist of several smaller pieces, reminiscent of Robert Schumann’s collections. I look to him especially regarding my pursuit of clarity, brevity, and simplicity in music. In these works, I have explored ways to articulate the musical discourse formally in a manner that transcends tonality while remaining communicative.”
