DKU Library is excited to present the 2025 Duke Kunshan University Library Book Fair, a celebration of literature, sustainability, and insightful conversations. Join us from April 16 to April 23 for a dynamic experience that sparks new ideas and brings together inspiring narratives!
1. You Select, We Collect

(1) eslite bookstore × DKU Library
(2) On-Campus Book Selection
For the first time exclusive for DKU students, faculty and staff, visit the eslite bookstore suzhou to select the books you want to read — DKU Library will purchase them and add them to our collection! In addition, you still have the opportunity to select from a great variety of books on campus.
Join us from April 16 to April 23 for an immersive browsing experience, help enrich DKU Library’s collection, and promote a culture of reading across campus and beyond!
2. Books for Veggies

Got any books you don’t read anymore? If you are willing to share these books and have them added to the Library or Children’s Reading Room collection for DKU community members to read, come and swap them with us, you will receive fresh veggies and fruits as a reward.
No books to swap? No problem! Join our photo challenge and get a special designed gift!
3. Stochastic Volatility X DKU | A Conversation with Three Top Female Podcasters

Described by TIME as “the largest feminist-themed podcast in China”, Stochastic Volatility (随机波动) has captivated over three million subscribers across various platforms since its inception in 2020. We are delighted to welcome the three hosts – Zhiqi Zhang, Shiye Fu, and Jianguo Leng – for an in-depth conversation, along with their new book series, “Stochastic Library” (Gender: Female, Praise Without Silence), which delves not only into the challenges faced by women but also into broader social realities.
4. DKU Library Author Talk | American Koan: Imagining Zen and Self in Autobiographical Literature

The term “koan” refers to a spiritual practice in Zen Buddhism characterized by paradoxical riddles or questions/dialogues, which practitioners use to transcend conventional thinking and provoke a sudden awakening or enlightenment. In his book American Koan: Imagining Zen and Self in Autobiographical Literature, Dr. Ben Van Overmeire will share with us his long-term exploration of the mutual transformation of Eastern Zen Buddhism and Western tradition of autobiography.
Please note:
Since we will be hosting the on-campus book selection in the Library Lobby, we expect the noise to be higher than usual. To ensure your reading comfort is not compromised, DKU Library has prepared earplugs for free use. Please pick it up at the 1st Floor Information Desk if necessary. We thank you for your understanding and are here to assist you in making your visit a pleasant one.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2025 Duke Kunshan University Library Book Fair events! If you have any questions, please contact the Library at dkulibrary@dukekunshan.edu.cn.
