As the day winds down at the library, we seek to close our doors not with a simple announcement, but with a moment of reflection and calm. Similarly, we envision a fresh, invigorating sound to welcome patrons each morning. We believe the creativity within our entire community is key to shaping these essential daily moments, and we warmly invite all interested students, faculty and staff to compose the soundtrack for this shared space.
Project Details:
- Purpose: The library is calling for original music submissions to be selectively edited into brief musical cues for the library’s daily opening and closing announcements.
- Style: All genres are welcome! Submissions should be suitable for a library environment and atmosphere.
- Originality & Copyright: Original works are required. All submissions must respect intellectual property rights.
- Editing & Integration: By submitting your work, you grant permission for the library staff to perform necessary audio post-production, which may include selecting suitable segments and integrating the required voiceover prompts.
- Selection Process: A campus-wide vote will be held to select the final soundtrack. Additionally, a rotating playlist featuring all other eligible entries will be curated to showcase the diverse talent of our community.
- Prizes: A special prize awaits the chosen soundtrack, and all qualifying submissions will receive a participation award.
