New DOI Registration Service Now Available

September 14, 2026

We are pleased to announce our new Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Registration Service. DKU students, faculty, and staff are eligible to submit a DOI registration request. Please see below for details about the service.

What is DOI?

A DOI is a globally recognized, persistent identifier that provides a reliable link to a webpage where your digital research outputs can be accessed. DOIs make scholarly materials easier to cite, discover, access, and preserve. Once a DOI is registered, it cannot be deleted or reused. While its associated metadata and landing-page URL can be updated, changes may take long time to process. Please carefully review all information before registration.

DKU Library is now a registered Crossref member and provides DOI registration for eligible DKU research outputs, including datasets, reports, working papers, and other scholarly digital materials. For questions about eligibility, DOI registration, or metadata, please contact us for consultation before submitting your request.
